Later, while secretly eating meat in the backyard, she meets the branch temple's saint. The saint weeps and tries to convert her, but Nan Gu stuffs meat into her mouth and declares that now she is unclean too. The pair of enemies becomes a food-loving couple: Nan Gu urges her to eat vegetables, while the saint clutches her meat and refuses.
